What "Low MOQ" really means at LinenTailor

Most "low MOQ" factories still ask for 100–300 pieces per colour, with an 80% deposit and no sample option. LinenTailor's small-batch program is different: 30 pieces per colour is our real, published minimum — not a marketing number that gets renegotiated at quote time. You can mix sizes inside each colour, combine multiple colours in one run, and reorder in the same 30-piece increments once a style proves out.

Our 30-piece MOQ, in plain numbers

    • 1 colour × 30 pieces × any size mix — starting order.
    • 4-colour capsule = 120 pieces total (30 per colour).
    • Reorders in 30-piece increments per colour.
    • Sampling: 1 paid sample per style before bulk.

    Full-package production, not just cut-and-sew

LinenTailor runs a cut-and-sew workshop in Dongguan that works with trusted linen mills. That means a single team handles fabric sourcing, pattern making, sampling, grading, cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, labelling and packing. You brief once and receive shipment-ready cartons — no need to co-ordinate a fabric mill, a pattern maker and a CMT factory yourself.

Browse the linen fabric library we work with, or start from a ready style in our apparel shop and customise from there.

    Linen specialisation & certifications

We work only with linen and linen blends. That focus is the reason we can offer boutique MOQs at prices most factories reserve for 500+ piece runs — we source linen from trusted mills and pattern, cut and sew small batches in our cut-and-sew workshop in Dongguan. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified linen and organic cotton certified fabrics are available on request.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the lowest MOQ for custom clothing at LinenTailor?
30 pieces per colour, per style. You can mix sizes freely inside each colour, and combine multiple colours in one production run.
Is MOQ 30 per colour or across the whole style?
Per colour. Launching a 4-colour capsule of one style is 120 pieces total, not 30. This is the industry-standard small-batch structure.
How much does a 30-piece production run cost per unit?
Typical LinenTailor unit prices sit in the USD 18–55 range depending on fabric weight, construction and finishing. Sampling is quoted separately. Message us on WhatsApp with a tech pack or reference photos for an exact number.
Can I order a single sample before committing to bulk?
Yes. On every ready style in our apparel shop you can 'Buy 1 for Sample', and for original designs we quote a paid pre-production sample (PPS) before bulk.
How long does the full process take?
Tech pack review 2–3 days · sampling 7–14 days · bulk production 25–35 days after sample approval · sea/air freight 5–35 days depending on route.
Do you handle fabric sourcing or do I need to supply it?
Both. We stock a full library of linen (see /shop/fabrics), or you can supply your own fabric. Working from our stock is faster and unlocks better pricing.
    Which certified fabrics are available?
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified linen and organic cotton certified fabrics are available on request.
